Victorian Murder Mystery Dinner at Oxford Castle
Overview
Join fellow Spicers for an evening of entertainment in this very special venue. The Warden of Oxford Castle & Prison and his wife have invited you to join the good citizens of Oxford for a delicious two-course meal. But foul play is afoot and no-one is above suspicion…
This Victorian murder mystery and dinner event is a unique way to embrace Oxford’s dark and curious history…
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed down to the atmospheric crypt for a glass of prosecco, and the chance to mingle and meet your fellow sleuths.
Then it’s time to solve the mystery. Follow the clues, working your way through the prison as you interrogate the denizens of this historic setting. Then sit down to discuss and share your theories over a dinner, served by the prisoners themselves, before the big reveal.
Fancy dress is optional, but you are most welcome to immerse yourself in the victorian dining experience. The evening will finish between 9.30 and 10pm.

But does his jovial demeanour hide a more sinister character?
Mrs Winnifred Smith
Winnifred is the devoted wife of Warden Smith, and (as she never tires of telling visitors) three-times winner of ‘Best Victoria Sponge in Oxford’, But is all in fact well in the Smith household?
