This event is for those booked on the Spice National Weekend in Historic York.
Are ye ready to experience York like a true Viking? Let's set sail!
Climb aboard one a self-drive motor boat, taking up to seven of your fellow Viking warriors with you and navigate the same river that brought the mighty Norsemen to York.
Don't worry if it is your first time! We'll give you full instructions. You'll have up to an hour to explore the river and make some memories!
We'll take it in turns so that everyone who wants to can have a go at driving.

Itinerary
9:45am. Meet us at the Radisson Hotel reception to walk to Kings Staith
10:00am. Boarding and instruction
11:00am. Return
In case lots of people book and we need several boats, we may need to stagger the start times by a few minutes, but you'll still get a full hour on the water.
This is an optional activity for those on our Spice National Weekend in Historic York.
Sorry, the boats are not wheelchair accessible.
We'll meet in the hotel reception at 9:45am prompt ready to walk to the boat. If you prefer to go directly to the boat then please meet us at King's Staith Landing, YO1 9SN at 10am.
