National Weekend: Saturday Riverside Walk

This event is for those booked on the Spice National Weekend in Historic York.
A leisurely walk along the banks of York's River Ouse.
We'll walk through the Museum Gardens then head out of the city walking upstream along the riverside paths to the Clifton Ings. This area is usually a good hiking area, but in periods of high rainfall is used as temporary water storage to reduce the river levels and protect the city from flooding. After walking around the Ings, we will return to the city along the opposite bank of the river.
The total distance will be around 4½ miles on level paths.
Location & Itinerary
This is an optional activity for those on our Spice National Weekend in Historic York.
We'll meet in the hotel reception at 10am.
