Overview
The Blue Piano is a South East Asian Bar and Restaurant, situated in a large Edwardian house in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston. This independent restaurant and guesthouse is also a popular destination for musicians and music lovers with its eclectic programme of live music.
This afternoon they are hosting two different bands in their lovely Courtyard inside a heated marquee.
The Line up: Thomas Atlas - Their local boy will be teaming up with Bonnylou to deliver some stunning bluesy/soulful/funky tunes with a delicious festive twist!
Bonnylou has been a mainstay of the West Midlands music scene for the past decade bringing her unique brand of Soul and Rhythmn n'Blues to audiences far and wide. A hard-hitting, foot-stomping and well crafted style ... Bonnylou has a magnetic, vocal delivery once heard, never forgotten!
Thomas Atlas is versatile British guitarist, vocalist, and gifted songwriter, he has navigated a captivating musical odyssey. Commencing his career by touring the UK and USA with Soul and Blues ensembles....and then some!

One of the most powerful and soulful musical line-ups to come out of Birmingham. The band set the atmosphere with classic tracks such as Uptight, Seven Days Too Long, Do I Love You, Green Onions and Time is Tight. The big sound and spontaneous excitement which they stir up on stage from the glorious sounds of the Hammond organ, tenor sax, bass, lead guitar and drums, collectively, reflects their lifelong love of soul music....

Please Note: there may not be enough seats outside in the marquee where the bands will be playing. Hopefully we'll all be up dancing anyway so it wont cause too many issues!
This is not a Spice Exclusive and therefore there will be other members of the public there. We will have a Spice host who will keep the group together.

Feedback from previous nights at Blue Piano
- Really enjoyed this event...the singer was brilliant they had lots of followers, which added to the evening and it was lovely being outside. An evening to be remembered in a very special setting.
- A hidden jem, really good venue, fantastic food, lovely to sit outside on a summer's evening listening to music. Great atmosphere too, a few of us got up to dance!
- The event was enjoyable, venue good and a fun eve with a good group.
