Reading Rep Theatre - Teechers
Overview
New Year. . . same problems!
What we get is a funny, fast moving, hard hitting account of life at Whitewall Academy as they play staff, students and site premises managers, including the new drama teacher Miss Nixon who has helped get them into drama and changed their lives.
But as Salty, Gail and Hobby conclude their performance and leave state education, it appears that Miss Nixon is moving on too… to the local private school.
Joyous energetic and bitter about educational inequalities. The Guardian.
Teechers fizzes, with it’s high octane European theatre style. Belfast Times.
Edgy, observational, funny, political and hard hitting. The British Theatre Guide.
The sooner you book, the better the seats, although as it is a small theatre, there isn't really a bad seat!

Reading Rep began when Artistic Director Paul Stacey took a £500 overdraft and invested it into a vision he had always believed in: to revitalise Reading’s cultural landscape by making and creating the highest quality theatre, with, by and for Reading.
This touring production of the popular play features just 3 actors taking on the role of 20 different characters. The show starts at 7.30, but we will meet earlier for a drink and a chat.
