Pub Social at The Wheatsheaf NQ
Overview
The Wheatsheaf is a traditional and down-to-earth pub located at 30 Oak Street in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. Known by locals as a proper boozer, this welcoming venue serves as an affordable oasis offering a sharp contrast to the surrounding gentrified bars.
On a Saturday night they feature an 'old school' type DJ so don't forget your dancing shoes!
The pub boasts an inclusive and friendly atmosphere that is particularly welcoming to over-25s. On weekends, the venue comes alive with vibrant entertainment ranging from karaoke parties to dedicated Northern Soul, Motown, and reggae nights. The exterior of the building is also a local landmark, featuring a prominent commemorative mural dedicated to the late Smiths bassist Andy Rourke.
Please Note: The venue won't hold tables for us, so we plan to get in early and accumulate tables/chairs as we go along.
