Wythall Transport Museum Visit with Optional Bus Ride
Overview
Due to several requests to return here, we have added another visit. Join us for a special day celebrating 120 years since the mighty Midland Red, as the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company, was founded in 1904. This iconic bus operator ruled the Midlands and even designed and built its own buses until it was absorbed into the National Bus Company. We'll be running many of our red buses and we anticipate lots of visiting Reds too.
They we will be displaying as many surviving Midland Red vehicles, as well as memorabilia and models.
There will also be some talks from some of the employees over the weekend, sharing their memories from the past.
They are planning a “Happy Hour” between 1pm and 3pm, running as many Midland Red buses as we can between Becketts Island and Maypole.
If you are a budding photographer there are plenty of opportunities for you to practice your skills.
Rob & Pete will arrange a schedule with several meet ups during the day including the time for the bus ride a
