Walking with Linda: 7 or 8 mile, Baker Street to Blackfriars walk with Photo Exhibition & St. John's

Join Linda on this 7 or 8 mile, Baker Street to Blackfriars walk with Photo Exhibition & St. John's Museum Visits.

Please meet in 'The Metropolitan Bar' Wetherspoons pub at Baker Street tube station at 0950, ready to depart at 1000. I'll be having a cup of tea with a SPICE sign on the table.

We will walk through Regents Park and out to the Regents Canal which we'll follow to 'The Ice Wharf' Wetherspoons at Camden (to use the loos!).

We'll leave the canal at Kings Cross to follow back streets to a pub in Clerkenwell for lunch (at your own expense). 

After lunch we'll make the short walk to visit a photographic exhibition entitled 'Lost Victorian City', a London now disappeared.

We will take time to independently explore the exhibits before meeting up again to complete our walk.  

Just another short walk will lead us to the St. John's Museum at St. John's Gate where we'll take time to visit the history of 1st aid displays.

If 7 miles and the visits are enough for you, you can catch a train home from Farringdon or you can walk the final mile with us to Blackfriars station.

We might choose to treat ourselves to a cup of tea and cake in a local cafe or a bar drink and dessert perhaps, in the the historic, Blackfriars pub, opposite Blackfriars railway station, before catching our trains home.

The walk starts in a pub, has lunch in a pub and may well end in a pub but we will have a good walk and some interesting visits in-between the pub visits!

Please bring drinking water, money to buy lunch and any other drinks and snacks you may want. 

Please dress for the weather on the day (and bring a golfing umbrella if it is expected to rain!).

Please check your transport times, and for any engineering works, at least the day before the walk and allow some contingency time for delays.
