Tuesday - Walk & Bus - North London Sculpture Trail with Alan & Jill

Join Alan and Jill for a Big Fun Art Adventure, a tot-owl-ly free public art trail. Big Fun is hosted by North London Hospice in partnership with Wild in Art.

We will meet at 10.45am in Fonseca's Deli on Archway Road, opposite Exit 3 of Highgate tube station, ready for a prompt departure to catch the 11.03am bus to our first owl. Alan and Jill will be there by 10.30am if you want to join them for a tea / coffee before the start. In addition to starting with a coffee and cake we will also have a noon break at Alexandra Palace and a late lunch (at your own expense) in Wood Green at a traditional pub that has an extensive food menu at reasonable prices. Anyone still with Alan and Jill at the end may wish to join them at the Park View Cafe, Finsbury Park, for a farewell coffee/cake/meal.

The full trail is 53 owl sculptures although we will be looking to do the 33 based around the sculpture areas: Muswell Hill and Alexandra Palace, Crouch End, Wood Green and Finsbury Park.

The 4 sculpture areas are a long way from each other so we will take the bus between some of them - for those without Oystercard or Travelcard you will need a contactless card, maximum daily charge is £5.25. For those who complete the 33 sculptures it will be a long day although you can drop out at any point. In addition to the bus travel there will be about 7 miles of walking. An estimate of the finishing time is 6 o’clock at Finsbury Park, close to Manor House Tube Station.
