Spice in Town at The Jam House - Shakatak!
Overview
Although it has been some time, our old friends at The Jam House haven't forgotten us and have offered us some specially reduced tickets, exclusively for Spice members.
Spice first visited The Jam House in 2007 and we continued to send members there every month (at least!) until the pandemic. We're hoping to start enjoying this fabulous venue once again with what is set to be a fantastic night, led by Shakatak.
“Night Birds”, “Down on the Street”, and “Easier Said than Done” are just three of the instantly recognisable tracks of Shakatak, a band at the fore-front of the UK Jazz Funk scene of the early ‘eighties.
These music nights are a rare opportunity to see musical icons in the intimate setting of The Jam House. We have a limited number of tickets so don't delay in booking as when they’re gone – they’re gone!

About Shakatak: The band have enjoyed a level of success and career longevity rarely paralleled in contemporary music – but then Shakatak is a particularly unusual group.
Because of the nature of their music, their fan base is one that is far reaching while always retaining an ‘underground element’. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily as serious jazz/funk musicians, enjoying both high ‘cult’ status and instant recognition as a household name. Band members are Bill Sharpe, Jill Saward, George Anderson and Roger Odell.
