Book: A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens

This beloved classic tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. In the process, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.

There are many editions of this book, but they all seem to have the classic text, some are illustrated, and I found one on Amazon which contains his other Christmas Stories too. I’ve seen it on film (including 2 musical versions) and I’ve seen The Old Vic production twice in recent years (with Rhys Ifans and Christopher Eccleston) I also saw a fantastic production at Reading Rep in 2022. It’s a novella, so shouldn’t interfere too much with Christmas preparations!
