Spice Dines Persian at Apadana Huddersfield
Overview
Tonight we return to one of our favourite Huddersfield restaurants for our Spice Dines Around the World meal.
Nestled inside the Railway Arches on Viaduct Street in Huddersfield is a restaurant that is resetting the dining agenda in this part of the north. Tired of cliched curry joints, diners are heading to Apadana, a Persian restaurant of some serious esteem, for a genuinely innovative menu.
We will be having 2 courses - a starter and a main and your choice of a small glass of wine or soft drink.
As this is one of our Spice Dines meals you will qualify for a stamp in your passport. If you don't already have a passport we will issue you with one on the night.

Tonight we will be having a 2 course meal as below:
STARTERS
LENTIL SOUP (V, VE, GF)
SEER SAUSAGES (GF) - spicy beef sausages cooked with garlic, sea salt and oregano served with tomato sauce
FALAFEL (GF, VE) - chickpeas, parsley and garlic blended with added herbs and peppers
HUMMUS (GF, VE) – pureed chickpeas, tahini, garlic and fresh lemon juice
BOREK-PANIR (V) – golden crisp deep fried pastry parcels filled with cheese, parsley and aromatic herbs
DOLMEH (GF, VE) – stuffed vine leaves (4 pieces)
MAINS
KOOBIDEH (GF) – two skewers of finely marinated juicy minced lamb
JOOJE (GF) – a skewer of chargrilled marinated chicken fillet in saffron and lime and olive oil
LOGHMEH LAMB – mild spiced prime minced lamb with garlic and parsley
LOGHMEH CHICKEN - mild spiced fillet of chicken with garlic and parsley
GHORMEH SABZI (GF) - a stew made of aromatic mixed herbs cooked with lamb, red kidney beans and dried limes
GHEIMEH (GF) - lamb stew with split yellow peas and dried limes cooked in cinnamon and tomato sauce, topped with chips
GHEIMEH BADENJAN (GF) - lamb stew with split yellow peas and dried limes cooked in a tomato sauce and topped with sautéed aubergine
FESENJAN (GF) - sweet and sour chicken stew made with pomegranate paste and ground walnuts.
BADENJAN (GF) - lamb piece and pan fried aubergine, tenderly slow cooked in our chef's special tomato sauce
AUBERGINE STEW (GF, VE) - sautéed aubergine cooked in a tomato sauce flavoured with dried lime
DOLMEH (GF, VE) - stuffed vine leaves, served with homemade yoghurt

Apadana is a Persian restaurant, well situated amongst other popular restaurants in Viaduct Street (opposite the entrance to Tesco’s car park). There is plenty of on street parking both in Viaduct Street itself and nearby.
