Riverside Walk and Lunch at Old Siam York
Overview
Come and join us for a leisurely walk along the banks of the River Ouse. We'll meet outside the Hilton Hotel on Tower Street (opposite Clifford's Tower) at 11.45am. Please wear appropriate footwear for the riverside path which could be muddy depending on the weather. The walk is 2¾ miles and is very level but there are some steps to climb up to the bridges.
Afterwards we will go to the Old Siam Thai restaurant for Sunday lunch. This has been recommended by one of our members. We will enjoy a 2 course meal consisting of a starter and main.
If you just want to join us for lunch then please let us know and meet us at Old Siam at 1:15pm..

TOD MUN PLA (N) - Spicy Thai Fish cakes seasoned with Thai red curry paste, lime leaves, green beans, served with sweet chilli sauce and grounded peanut
TOFU TOD (V,N) - Crispy light batter Tofu served with sweet chilli and ground peanut
TOM YUM SOUP (GF) - Thailand’ s famous spicy soup with Thai herbs, fresh chilli, Thai chilli oil and lime juice. Choose Vegetable or Chicken. (Hot – 2 chillis)
TOM KAH SOUP (GF) - Thai hot and sour creamy soup with lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, fresh chilli, fish sauce, lime juice and coriander. Choose Vegetable or Chicken
MAINS
GANG KEAW WAN (GF) – Thai green curry in coconut milk with aubergines, courgette, bamboo shoot and Thai sweet basil leaves. Choose beef, chicken or veg. (Very hot - 3 chillis)
GENG PHED (GF) - Thai Red curry in coconut milk with aubergines, courgette, bamboo shoot and Thai sweet basil leaves. Choose beef, chicken or veg (Hot - 2 chillis)
GANG PANANG – Aromatic ground peanut-coconut cream curry with fresh chilli, long beans, and kaffir lime leaves. Choose beef, chicken or veg (Moderate - 1 chilli)
PAD KRA PAO (GF) - Stir fried with fresh chilli, garlic, fine beans, holy basil leaves and oyster sauce. Choose beef, chicken or veg (Very hot – 3 chillis)
KRATHIEM PRIK THAI (GF) - Stir fried with garlic and ground black pepper. Choose beef, chicken or veg (Moderate – 1 chilli)
PAD THAI (N, GF) - Thai flat rice noodles stir-fried with chives, bean sprouts, shallots, tofu, egg and special homemade sauce, topped with ground peanuts. Choose beef, chicken or veg
PAD SEE EW (GF) - Stir-fried thick rice noodle with soy sauce, broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, and egg. Choose beef, chicken or veg
RAILWAY FRIED RICE (GF) – Traditional dish. Fried rice with dark soy sauce, broccoli, carrot, and egg. Choose beef, chicken or veg
CHICKEN KATSU CURRY (C) - Lightly battered chicken with a selection of curry: Choose Red curry, Green curry or Panang curry. (Hot – 2 chillis)
The walk is very level, except that there are several steps to climb up to the bridges. It could be muddy in places depending on recent rainfall.
