Overview
The Knights of Middle England are opening their doors to the public for an exciting day of informative talks and action packed equestrian performances and demonstrations. This is a unique opportunity to get behind the scenes and see first hand what’s involved with training horses and riders through the stages right up to performance level.
We'll be inspired by the adrenaline rush of Trick Riding & Jousting, in awe of the beauty & elegance of Side Saddle riding and amazed at the incredible skill of Horse Archery.
As well as listening to their knowledge and watching performances from the professionals, there will be a number of activities that we can get involved at too.
The day will start with Vaulting Barrel for Trick Riding and wooden horses set up for Side Saddle and Horse Archery for you all to come and have a go yourself – learn about the different types of saddle, try out some moves under the guidance of our instructors and grab that selfie!
Then the afternoon will focus on our 4 unique disciplines - Side Saddle, Trick Riding, Jousting and Horse Archery. Covering everything from the basics of training and rich history of the origins of each discipline, right up to professional level, there is something for everyone. Watch real students being taught by our fully qualified instructors and see the progression you could achieve for yourself and discover a new equestrian art!
Featuring action-packed mini shows by all our professional riders – witness the talent of our daring trick riders performing impressive stunt moves from their galloping horses, and marvel at how majestic the elegance of side saddle riding can be combined with jumping or even horse archery!
