Centenary Way Walk from Bentley with Optional Lunch

Several people have recommended we walk this lovely area of Warwickshire that nestles in rolling countryside midway between Coleshill and Atherstone. It's also a fine introduction to the Centenary Way which is a 100 mile footpath that links so much wonderful Warwickshire walking.

Our route today is around 7 miles and takes us from a lovely old pub in the village of Birchley Heath through ancient woodland, rolling fields of Over Whitacre and beside Hoar Hall and Hoar Park. We then leave The Centenary Way and use a series of footpaths through farmland around Ansley and Arley as we navigate back to Birchley Heath where those who wish to stay on can enjoy the pub for a drink and/ or lunch.
