Around the World in Bristol 2 - Veeno (Italian)
Overview
The founder, Nino opened the first Veeno in 2013 to share his passion for wine, food and aperitivo. The aperitivo is a moment of the day, a recurrent feature of the daily or weekly life in Italy. Quintessential of the Italian lifestyle, the aperitif time is a friendly moment spent in good company to chill over a drink and a snack after work or during the weekend.
He wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic sharing boards of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers.
The wines come from the family vineyard Caruso & Minini, back in Sicily where his great-grandfather Francesco planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, they have been working hard to ensure that the quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.
The menu is lovely, and I've eaten here before (several times) and all the food and wine was delicious.
