Alvecote Marina Easy Midweek Ramble
Overview
An easy 5 mile ramble with Steve Dell exploring Alvecote Marina, the Coventry canal and the surrounding countryside.
We start by walking through the 'village' of Amington and then follow the river Anker towards Amington Hall. Then we pass Alvecote Pools Nature Reserve, a popular fishing spot and then onto Alvecote and the ruins of the Priory.
The final leg is along the Coventry Canal as we make our way back to the pub, where we have the option of lunch, which is a great Carvery or you can have one of their pizzas.
