Sunday Walk: Rivingtons Lever Park
Overview
After a short walk following the road, we turn into the fields and follow paths through rough grassland where we have a lovely view of Rivington Pike and Winter Hill.
We will be walking to Lever Park and past Liverpool Castle, no big hills or steep steps, but maybe some slightly rocky paths and wet or muddy patches.
Medium pace, our only stop is for 20 minutes at about 12 noon at Rivington Cafe, where there are (free) public toilets. We may have time in the cafe to order a drink to take away, but we won't have enough time to sit in.
Please Note:
- earlier start time than most of our Sunday walks: 10.30am (arrive for 10.20)
- there is an optional opportunity to join on a pub lunch at 2pm at the Ridgeway Arms after the walk, please let us know if you wish to join us at the time of booking
