Thames Hospice Fundraiser - Maidenhead
Overview
This charity event in Maidenhead was highlighted to me by one of my Oxford members Torrin. His sister plays in one of the bands and he is planning to attend and would love some Spice members to join him to support this fantastic cause. I really hope some of you will be able to join him.

The Charity
Thames Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care services to people in their own homes or in the incredible hospice just outside Maidenhead. It helps hundreds of families in East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire every year. It could not operate without donations and fundraising.
Martin Coombs MBE and his family were cared for expertly by the Thames Hospice team in the last months of Martin's life.
As a regular at Panic Lounge gigs, and lover of banging cover tunes, the band were keen to raise money for a great cause and celebrate Martin's legacy after passing away in January 2025 following a long and brave battle against cancer.
All profits will go directly to Thames Hospice so it can continue providing the incredible care which gave so much support to Martin and his family.
The Event and Bands
AN EVENING OF BANGING TUNES YOU'LL KNOW, BY COVER BANDS YOU'LL LOVE.
Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy a fantastic evening of music from across the 80's 90's and 00's covering Rock, Pop, Punk and Indie anthems.
Local party bands Crazy Donkey and Panic Lounge will blast out top tracks from through the decades. A special guest musician will provide chill out "piano room" covers before and after the full on energy of the Donkeys and the Loungers.
Real ale, wine, prosecco and soft drinks will be avilable all night and street food will be on offer for those working up an appetite.
The state-of-the-art Furze Platt Theatre is the venue, providing a great atmosphere for partying, chatting and catching up with friends.
Generous support from sponsors, including principal supporters Blue Sky Intermodal and Furze Platt Senior School, means the money you spend will go directly to Thames Valley Hospice.
