Theatre - Kiss Me Kate at Halifax Playhouse
Cole Porter's play within a play.
Kiss Me Kate is a play within a play, offering a clever and comedic glimpse into the delightful chaos of putting on a stage production.
The musical’s story revolves around a theatre company preparing to perform Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.
However, the drama among the cast and crew quickly spirals out of control, mirroring the fiery relationships in Shakespeare’s classic tale.
It’s a masterful blend of humour, romance, and show-stopping musical numbers such as “Another Op’nin’, Another Show” and “Too Darn Hot”.
After the show we will head to Sapore Italian for a bite to eat.
