Carnival Day, Summer Solstice, Wallingford
Overview
Wallingford Carnival is an annual event, taking place on the third Saturday in June. There is evidence of a Carnival taking place as far back as 1929 making the Carnival Wallingford's longest running event!
There will be stalls, music and entertainment on the Kinecroft all day plus the spectacular carnival procession at 1pm.
Wallingford Carnival is run by a small, dedicated team of volunteers.
The Carnival is funded by income from stalls, our wonderful, generous sponsors and small community grants. The Carnival Committee work very hard throughout the year to ensure that the Carnival continues to be a spectacular community event!
Why not join some fellow Spicers to enjoy this traditional event, if you'd be willing to host (maximum of 6 people) please let Jackie know.
Includes
- Spice Host
Extras
- Any refreshments or merchandise
I've also reserved a table for 6 people at The Boat House this evening as they have live music on to end the carnival day. The band is a popular covers band from Oxfordshire the "Unusual Suspects" BOOK HERE
Parking on this date will be busy, and I have no doubt that on the day, there will be marshalls to assist. The car parks in Wallingford are listed here. I'd suggest allowing more tie to travel and park than usual.
