Traditional Dining at the Barley Mow Pub in Penn
Overview
Following a couple of recommendations, we have decided to check out this traditional old pub on the rural outskirts of Penn in Wolverhampton. The Barley Mow is a 400 year old pub with modern extension that is renowned for its real ale and traditional food.
As well as a number of daily specials, they well known for their quality steaks sourced locally and aged for 21 days to intensify tenderness and flavour. They also serve wonderful home-made pies, made to their own special recipe combining hand diced chunks of quality steak with mouth-watering flavours. We can also expect a choice of burgers, curries and lasagne etc, all at very reasonable prices. See the photograph in the gallery below for their current menu and food prices.
The Barley Mow have featured in the Good Beer Guide over the last few years and are very proud of the ales they serve. The also host a popular Beer Festival each year, so we thought we'd check the venue out ahead of this as we'd love to join them at their festival!
