Meet and Eat Christmas Meal at Aspire, Timperley
Overview
Join us for a super 3 course Christmas Meal at Aspire, Trafford College, Timperley.
The food is super quality and is prepared and served by the catering & hospitality students at the college and it is great value too.
Lauren is a regular at Aspire Restaurant & Bar and raves about it all the time. It was very well received when we put on a 5 course taster meal earlier in the year. It is quite a hard one to include it in the programme as they are not VAT registered but Spice are which means if you paid us for it we would have to add the VAT on top; however we have a plan that should work for us all.
Our worry was that people won't show up if it is a standard Meet & Eat meal and we don't want to let the venue down, so we are taking a £20 deposit from those booking. This deposit will go back on as a credit note after the event to everyone that shows up for use against a future event. This hopefully will encourage those booked to attend!
The 3 course Christmas menu is priced at the fabulous price of £25 per person which is payable on the night along with all drinks - they usually do themed cocktails too as well as a good selection of wines and other drinks so you may want to leave the car at home. Please do allow for service charge at 10% (cash only) which goes in full to the college students.

Starters
- Poached King Prawn Cocktail, petit salad, pickled radish & seafood sauce, wholemeal bread & butter
- Roast Pumpkin Veloute, toasted seeds, candied squash, truffle creme fraiche (v)
- Terrine of ham hock & parsley, homemade piccalilli, dressed leaves & sourdough toast
Main Course
- Roast Cheshire Turkey, sage & sausage meat stuffing, pig in blanket & proper gravy
- Herb crusted fillet of Salmon, white wine, dill & chive cream sauce, cucumber pearls
- Organic root vegetable, creamed spinach & lemon wellington, mature cheddar veloute (v)
Dessert: A Trio of Festive Desserts
- Traditional Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce and rum soaked clementine and raisin preserve/Frangipane and black cherry tart with homemade vanilla ice cream/Milk chocolate and caramarel vacherin with caramelised popcorn and white chocolate sauce
Aspire Restaurant & Bar is situated within Trafford College on the main Manchester Road (A56) Timperley, between Sale and Altrincham.
It is a 20 minute (0.9 mile) walk from Timperley Metrolink Station.
It is an 8 minute (0.4 mile) walk from the bus stops outside the college on the A56 (263, 245 buses plus others)
From the main A56 Manchester Road, turn into Stamford Brook Road, then turn first right onto the college campus. Follow the road round and continue to the far side of the car park then follow the road right down the far side of the college buildings so you end up almost back at the boundary fence with the main A56.
There is an onsite car park which gets you very close to the restaurant itself which is all the way around the outside of the college and almost back towards the main road but within the college campus. Please look at the Gallery Photo on the wriite up which shows you the best place to park.
