Middleton Hall, Dosthill Lakes and Fazeley floating markets ramble
Overview
A lovely 7 mile ramble starting from Middleton Hall.
We initially explore the RSPB nature reserve and lakes then follow the reserve and over the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal where we head towards Tamworth passing the Drayton Manor Park and past the Mills of Fazeley and the Junction of the Coventry Canal.
We pause here to visit the Fazeley floating markets which should be on this weekend. Here is a link to their website for more details
We then cross the river Tame over an aqueduct and pass through Dosthill to pass close to the Watersport centre at Cliff. Then we follow the river continuing towards the Hamlet of Cliff before returning to the reserve and back to the start.
We have the option of a Sunday lunch at a nearby pub after the ramble
Location & Itinerary
There is an excellent café at the end of the ramble or if you prefer Sunday Lunch, Rob has booked a table at the nearby pub.
