Visit to Sunny Bank Mills Leeds
Overview
Come and join us for a heritage tour of this museum in West Leeds. The mill is famous for being the venue where they film the Great British Sewing Bee.
The Sunny Bank Mills Museum and Archive is a unique resource representing over 180 years of cloth production at the mills and the lives of those who worked here.
It contains more than 60,000 lengths of cloth, 8000 fabric designs, 5000 dye cards, 300 guard books and numerous artefacts associated with nearly 200 years of cloth production, which it aims to preserve for the community and future generations.
Our tour will be at 11am and will last for about an hour. Afterwards we have booked a table at Saint Jude cafe where they serve bagels, salads, soups, burgers as well as desserts and hot and cold drinks. You will be able to order and pay on the day.
We'll meet outside the museum entrance at 10:50am.
