Overview
This weekend promises to be one to remember, from the Comedy Magic Show at Smoke and Mirrors to the Panto on Sunday, with a Festive afternnon tea and a Christmas Party night in between!
This venue is very central, and we had a great party here last year. It is a joiner party, but we will have our own reserved tables. If you'd prefer just to attend the party (option of 1 nights accommodation) check out the South West Christmas Party event.

Smoke & Mirrors are famous for their Comedy & Magic Shows, set in an intimate 38 seater theatre so you don't miss a trick or a joke! We will have reserved tables and a 9" Pizza and 2 drinks each to enjoy during the 85 minute show.

One of the largest theatre stages in Britain, The Bristol Hippodrome has established itself on the touring circuit for all major musical productions, thus becoming known as Bristol’s West End Theatre. The Panto this year is Jack & The Beanstalk starring Will Young. We have reserved good seats in row G of the stalls. Will Young will make his pantomime debut as Spirit of the Beans in Jack and the Beanstalk. Joining Will is multi award-winning TV and theatre star Charlie Brooks playing the Giant’s wife Mrs Blunderbore, children’s TV favourites Richard Cadell playing Silly Billy (of course, accompanied by Sooty), Bristol panto legend Andy Ford as Farmer Trot, faaaabulous cabaret star Ceri Dupree joining the cast as Jack’s mum, Mrs Trot and musical theatre performer Ashlyn Weekes as Princess Jill. Just four weeks only.

Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel had an extensive makeover in 2017, giving the historic Grade 2 listed building a stylish and distinctive new look. The hotels rejuvenated interior draws inspiration from both the city independent art scene and the buildings rich historic past; creating a classic, yet contemporary, finish. Keepers Bar and Kitchen features solid wood and metal fittings and serves much-loved British meals using quality, locally sourced ingredients.
Just one mile from Bristol Temple Meads station, the hotel is easily-accessible for guests visiting the city. Popular attractions such as We The Curious and the famous Clifton Suspension Bridge are within close proximity too. The hotel was inspired by UpFest, the largest urban street art and graffiti festival in Europe, with local artists influencing the décor. The hotel now features over 500 pieces of commissioned street art, making for a unique guest experience.

After a leisurely breakfast check out is 11am
1pm Jack & The Beanstalk at The Hippodrome before heading home, again the theatre is a short walk from the hotel.

Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel boasts one of the largest banqueting rooms in Bristol, the ideal venue for a Christmas party. Located on Broad Street in Bristol city centre, Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel truly lives up to its name. Dating from Victorian times, this newly refurbished hotel blends classic period charm with the very best in contemporary comfort.
The Classic Hotel Rooms have beautifully comfortable beds, a HD television, complimentary high-speed WiFi, en suite bathrooms, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
Just one mile from Bristol Temple Meads station, which has great links to Reading, London and lots of other places. Parking is available, there is a private hotel car park, I used it last year and was not charged, I was given a ticket on check out to exit the car park.
