Soar like a bird with this exhilarating Indoor Skydiving Experience in Basingstoke.
This is a terrific value package aimed at first time flyers, only available Monday to Friday, and I'm hoping to be joined by 4 other brave souls to have a little breathtaking fun! I have booked for 8pm, and we have to be there 45 minutes before for safety briefing, kit etc.
Afterwards I have booked a table at the Beefeater on the same site for some drinks & dinner and to pat ourselves on the back! Take the plunge with me, please!

What is it? It's flying! Imagine a wind tunnel that can be used for testing the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car, turn it upright, step into the airflow and you are skydiving. It's a proven concept operating in several countries to the benefit of the skydiving community and anyone else who wishes to taste the thrill of freefall in a completely safe environment.
To enter the tunnel, stand in the open doorway and lean forward, you will feel your legs lifted from under you as you assume a horizontal flying position.
The instructor will take a loose grip on your flight suit and help you get into a neutral flying position before teaching you the basic moves.
Movements including going up and down, forwards, backwards, sideways and turning are all simple and easy to master and you will soon be learning new tricks!
To leave the tunnel, simply fly to the second doorway, take a grip on the sides and stand up and you are back in the ante chamber.
In goes the next person and you all shuffle up until it’s your turn again.
The flight time starts at 8pm but you must arrive at 7.15pm to allow time for briefing and putting on clothing etc.
All flyers are required to complete a Declaration of Risk before they arrive on the day
Please note: All flyers are required to sign a waiver & there is a weight limit of 18 stone.

There are a few exceptions which you should be aware of:
- · You must not weigh more than 18 stone (114kg).
- · Are NOT pregnant.
- · Have NOT previously dislocated your shoulder.
- · Have NOT experienced neck problems.
- · Are NOT under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
- · Are NOT wearing a hard cast.
- Have a history of heart problems
Note: Removal of spectacles (if applicable) may be required
Each flight typically 60 seconds in length – total experience lasts approx. 1.5 hours

Please be aware: You will experience an intense rush of air which may take your breath away. You can request a Full Face helmet if this affects you.
By road
From Junction 6 of the M3 follow signs towards Newbury around the ring road until you reach the Thornycroft Roundabout. Take the first exit into Churchill Way West (B3400) – signposted for The Leisure Park, continue up to and all the way round the next roundabout. Enter the Leisure Park by either of the two entrances.
If you are coming from Junction 7 of the M3, take the A30. Follow signs to Basingstoke town centre and the Leisure Park and enter via either of the two entrances.
If travelling on Worting Road in Basingstoke, the Leisure Park is well signposted from all directions and is only 3 miles from the M3.
There is ample free parking.
By rail
Basingstoke train station is just one mile away from iFLY and the Leisure Park. From here you can jump in a taxi or get on the number 8 bus which runs every 15 minutes and goes from the station to the Leisure Park.
