Overview
This is our second time at the Comedy night from 'Outside the Box' at Garrick Theatre in Stockport where we hope you can join us as we had a great time last time.
Outside The Box Comedy Club started in Kingston in 2006, founder and comedian Maff Brown wanted to a create a comedy club that everybody wanted to go to and every comedian wanted to play. Showcasing the cream of the comedy circuit along with Big name acts trying out bits proved so successful six months after launch it won Chortle's Best Small Venue award. Recognized in the industry for its warm, friendly and fun vibe, star comedians began to use the club to try their material before bringing it out on tours and TV. Continuing in popularity today, Outside The Box has expanded to venues right across the UK including our very own Stockport!
Tonight's line up is:
Danny Posthill - Danny Posthill is undoubtedly one of the most promising British comedians around today. He is a well-known and much loved stand-up comedian and impressionist, well remembered for his outstanding performance on the finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2015. His versatile act appeals to all audiences, with his hilarious stand-up mixed with a range of impressions such as Alan Carr, Michael McIntyre, Sarah Millican and President Donald Trump, alongside all the other topical political characters of today. Danny is a regular headline act at comedy clubs across the UK, and has most recently taken his own one man show That Bloke Who Does Voices to The Edinburgh Fringe to great reviews.
James Kilvington: Very popular on the UK comedy circuit, the “every-day” man, James Kilvington has over 10 million recent views from online content and featured in every major newspaper for his comedy performances. Used to playing in large auditoriums, he is also just as at home in small rowdy crowded rooms or intimate comedy clubs.
Maxine Wade: Maxine is a Leeds based comic, renowned for her leopard print outfits, addictive laugh and her loveable comedy. Her stage presence and comedic delivery is always well received and remembered by audiences.
and Mc is Eddie Fortune: Eddie Fortune is a Liverpool based comic described as a comedic Tornado, talking about the woes of dating, work life and the need to stay in shape, he occasionally mistakes himself as a Julia Roberts from pretty woman. His act can be a gag a second or an existential monologue, poem or song.

- Access: The comedy takes place in the theatre downstairs which is accessed only by steep stairs

Location & Itinerary
- Please meet your host in the Garrick Theatre downstairs/basement bar between 7pm and 7.15pm. The venue only opens at 7pm so if you are earlier pop in to The Spinning Top and see if anyone else has arrived early as well.
- The entrance to the basement is not via the main theatre entrance. It is via a door to the right of the Spinning Top on the main A6 and is down several flights of steep stairs.
- Your name will be passed to the venue to enable you to gain entry
The Stockport Garrick Theatre is situated in the heart of Stockport Town Centre on the corner of Wellington Road South (A6) and Exchange Street oppostie the Post Office Sorting Office. The theatre is within a few minutes walk of Stockport Interchange, with many regular Rail & Bus services to and from Manchester city centre, around Stockport and beyond.
For those of you have have been to the Garrick with us for one of their own productions you will know that they have use of a car park for those - please note that this does not apply to external productions which includes tonight's comedy night.
