Walk and Sunday Lunch at the Ripon Inn
Overview
Come and join us for a steady walk to the lakeside at Studley Park, through the Valley of the Seven Bridges over the mostly dried up River Snell and then back to Ripon through Hell Wath Nature Reserve. Our walk will take us to the World Heritage Site of Studley Royal Park, home to the ruins of Fountains Abbey and the Jacobean mansion, Fountains Hall. We'll see bluebells at this time of year, and we'll probably see deer and pheasants too. The route covers a distance of 5½ miles and will take just over a couple of hours. It's very level with a total of around 60 metres of ascent. Please wear appropriate footwear.
Afterwards we will adjourn to the Ripon Inn for our Sunday lunch at this recently refurbished hotel just outside of Ripon city centre. Formerly known as the Ripon Spa Hotel, this hotel is now part of the Inn Collection group.
Today we will have a main course with the option to order and pay for a dessert on the day.

Pie of the week served with seasonal vegetables and a choice of thick-cut chips or mashed potato
The Ripon Inn Burger - 6oz chuck burger in a toasted brioche bun with smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, topped with house burger sauce and served with thick cut chips
11am in the Ripon Inn car park ready to walk.
If you are not walking please let us know you are going just for the lunch and meet us at 1:15pm in the bar.
The hotel is located just outside Ripon and has a free car park
