Westminster Cathedral Choir joins forces with Britten Sinfonia for an evening of sacred music that speaks directly to the mysteries of belief and human fragility. Before the music begins, composer Sir James MacMillan sits down with Fr Patrick van der Vorst for a thoughtful conversation that sets the tone for what follows. Performed inside the vast, echoing space of Westminster Cathedral, the programme invites quiet contemplation, rich harmony and moments that linger long after the final note. Proceeds support the work of the Cathedral, adding meaning to an already moving night.
