Sunday Walk: Appleton Thorn, The Dingle + Grappenhall
Overview
An easy, mainly flat walk through woodland, fields and along the canal in South Warrington, taking in the picturesque village of Grappenhall, where we will have lunch. Mostly good paths, maybe muddy in places.
We will be visiting the Dingle in Appleton which takes us along a lovely route through the Lumb Brook Valley. Managed by the Woodland Trust, there are good paths which run along the babbling Lumb Brook, complete with mini waterfalls.
