Walking with Linda: 7 mile, Kings Cross to Kensington walk, Primrose Hill & V&A Museum visits

Join Linda for this 7 mile, Kings Cross to Kensington walk Primrose Hill & V&A Museum visits.

Please meet by the big white 'bird cage' structure on the pavement beside Kings Cross Railway Station on Pancras Road which runs, between Kings Cross and St. Pancras railway stations (near the German Gymnasium restaurant) by 09:50 ready for a prompt 10:00 departure.  

We will walk to the Regents Canal and follow it in a westerly direction to the Ice Wharf Wetherspoons by the canal at Camden for anyone who wants to buy a takeaway coffee or use the facilities.

We'll then continue alongside the canal before leaving it to gently walk up to the top of Primrose Hill for a vantage point view over London and it's iconic landmarks.

Next, we return to the canal and follow it to Paddington where we'll stop at a pub in Tyburnia at about 12:45 for lunch (at your own expense).

If a 5 mile walk, the Primrose Hill visit and lunch are enough for you, you can go home from Paddington railway station after lunch.

Otherwise, after lunch we'll walk for a couple more miles to and across Kensington Gardens to the V&A museum for a visit. 

We will have free time in the V&A Museum for everyone to visit the exhibition areas of their choice. You might, for example, like to visit the Medieval & Renaissance; Fashion dress & style; European art; Chinaware and ceramics, Cartoons; or Sculptures displays.

After time to enjoy the museum, we'll meet up either in the museum café where you might like to end the day with a cup of tea and cake or we could go to the local, Italian drinks, cake and ice-creams parlor before we make our way to High Street Kensington tube station to catch our trains home.  

Please bring drinking water, money to buy lunch and any other drinks and snacks you may want. 

Please dress for the weather on the day (and bring a golfing umbrella if it is expected to rain!).

Please check your transport times, and for any engineering works, at least the day before the walk and allow some contingency time for delays.
