Walking with Linda : 6 or 8 mile, Richmond to Hampton Court walk & Hampton Court Palace Gardens Vis
Overview
Join Linda on this 6 or 8 mile, Richmond to Hampton Court walk & Hampton Court Palace Gardens Visit.
Please meet by the front entrance of Richmond railway station in the ticket hall by 09:50 ready for a prompt 10:00 departure.
We will have a flat walk on a good walking path alongside the River Thames to Teddington Locks and Weir.
We'll stop for lunch at a Fuller's pub at about 12:30 (at your own expense).
After lunch we'll walk on to Kingston where, if a six mile walk and a pub lunch is enough for you, you can catch a train home from Kingston.
Otherwise, we'll crossover the River Thames and walk through Bushy Park to see if we can find some deer.
Next, we will enter the grounds of Hampton Court Palace and walk around the gardens to admire the beautifully kept grounds. You can either walk round the gardens with me or opt to explore independently.
We will arrange a time to meet up again to go for an afternoon cup of tea if you wish, before catching it trains home from Hampton Court railway station.
Please bring drinking water, money to buy lunch and any other drinks and snacks you may want.
Please dress for the weather on the day (and bring a golfing umbrella if it is expected to rain!).
Please check your transport times, and for any engineering works, at least the day before the walk and allow some contingency time for delays. The walk needs to depart on time for the comfort and enjoyment of those who have arrived on time. Thank you.
