At Halfpenny Green, the vines are spread over 30 acres and comprise of sixteen different varieties, each producing a different grape. Today we will join a tour to discover all about the process and also taste some of their internationally award-winning English wines.
We will be welcomed by their expert tour guide to the Wine House – a purpose-built function room designed for tours and tastings. We will be escorted to a section of the vines and their state of the art winery, which now produces hundreds of thousands of bottles of wine each year.
We will then enjoy an in-depth presentation looking into the history of their vineyard and the wine making processes, which will include the all important wine tasting!
Following this, will then be treated to a lovely two course cold lunch known as their Winemaker’s platter & homemade dessert. This is finished off with tea or coffee - the perfect end to an enjoyable and informative afternoon out.
The site also has a farm shop and deli plus 16 individual shops and craft stores that we are able to visit before or after our tour.

The vines contain familiar varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as a variety of weather-hardy grapes such as Bacchus, Huxelrebe, Madeleine and Angevine to name a few.

Our two course 'Winemakers platter' is similar to a ploughman's complete with a tasty homemade dessert. Lunch can be adapted to anyone with special dietary requirements and will be followed up with tea or coffee.
This isn't a Spice exclusive tour and therefore there will be members of the public too. We did try an exclusive tour in the past but unfortunately didn't make the required minimum number and had to cancel. We still wanted to offer a trip to this beautiful vineyard so have decided to join the public tour.
They are situated close to Wolverhampton, Dudley and Stourbridge just off the B4176 near Halfpenny Green Airport.
