Sunday Walk: Brabyn's and Etherow Country Park
Overview
Today's walk gives us a lot of variety taking us through parkland, along lakes, ponds and rivers, where we will see lots of wildfowl and if we are lucky a colourful mandarin duck. We also go through some semi ancient woodland and visit the tallest aquaduct in England as well as some impressive locks along the canal. There are some hills on this walk, but nothing too steep and the paths are generally good. There could be mud in some places.
Facilities: No toilets at the car park, but we will pass some after about 1 mile as we enter Etherow Country Park.
