Overview
Everyone knows of the error which resulted in the deaths of many troops at the Charge of the Light Brigade, but this is by no means the only error nor does it come close to the biggest error in history. Hear how history has recorded some of the dopiest decisions, some of which can hardly have seemed the brightest idea at the time and even worse today.

Erasmus Darwin House is located in Beacon Street, on the edge of the Cathedral Close, and a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Lichfield. Our postcode is WS13 7AD.
From Beacon Street, go through the green gates on the right-hand side of the House.
From the Cathedral Close, go through the passageway opposite the west end of the Cathedral and then through the herb garden. The entrance is in the garden at the rear of the House.
