Spice Dines East – Yokoso Restaurant - Gants Hill

Continuing our series of dining out on the east side of London, join us for dinner at Yokoso Restaurant at Gants Hill. (Please note that they have a takeaway Sushi restaurant round the corner on Eastern Avenue, whereas we're going to the sit-down restaurant on Cranbrook Road).
This is a relatively new restaurant where 'the rich culinary traditions of Japan and Italy come together in perfect harmony'. Whether you fancy sushi, pizza, sashimi or pasta or want to mix cuisines for your starter vs your main course, Yokoso serves authentic dishes 'crafted with the finest ingredients and a touch of creativity'. Their decor is modern, the restaurant has a large fishpond inside and the reviews are good.

Starters are £3-£17 and Mains are £7-£35, Sides are £4-£7 and Desserts are £4-£8. There are various platter options too, ranging from £14 to £75.
Unfortunately they're not (yet) licensed but they serve soft drinks, juices and a couple of mocktails. We may decide, via the forum, to meet for drinks beforehand.
On the night you just pay for your own food, drinks and the relevant service charge (typically 12.5%). They accept credit cards and cash.

The restaurant is a 1 minute walk from Gants Hill station on the Central line - use Exit 3 (Cranbrook Road North) - or get bus 123 or 179 from Ilford station (Elizabeth line) to Gants Hill station / Woodford Avenue stop. If you want to drive, contact your host via the forum re parking options.
