This evening Spice are dining at this unusual restaurant.
Located within Birmingham's Mailbox, Restaurant at The Woods is an immersive casual dining experience. The unique setting offers a standard, halal and vegan menu, with a variety of wild and farmed ingredients. The restaurant is designed to recreate the beauty of nature indoors. With changing seasons and scenery there are towering trees, forest foliage, waterfalls and all the sounds of nature. The menu: We have three menus - Standard, Halal and Vegan. Each of which is compromised of - breakfast, lunch, dinner. In terms of drinks there are barista quality coffees as well as a range of other hot and iced drinks. The restaurant also has a fully stocked bar, offering cocktails, spirits, wines draught and bottled beer and cider. The head chef has created a unique menu, with familiar favourites and wild wonders. From Eggs royale - wild woods breakfast, Crispy hunters chicken - stinging nettle stacks, Woods steak - quails nest, - Will you play things safe or be adventurous ?

Location & Itinerary
As many of you know, we usually look to work with a set price, choice menu. This makes it easier for us to collect the money in advance and then settle the bill with the venue.
We are finding more and more restaurants who we would love to include in our events programme, don’t have a set price menu, and the menu options are too varied for us to use a mid-price point, to charge everyone the same.
We tried a method where you pay a nominal fee to Spice and just pay for your food on the day but that makes it very complicated for the host.
Rather than excluding these restaurants we are using a method whereby members pay a nominal amount to Spice to book, and pre-order their food in advance, but off the full menu. We will then update each booking with the actual price and (where necessary) a service charge.
You can see their current menu using this link but bear in mind that the menu could change before our visit. We will send a link to pre-order your menu choices nearer the date of the meal.
The Restaurant The Woods is based in Mailbox in Birmingham City Centre, which is approx 10 minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station and near to many bus stops. There is a public ( paying ) car park in Mailbox but please be aware of the Clean Air Zone charges should you wish to drive into Birmingham.
