Songkran at Rosa's Thai, Reading
Overview
This recently opened restaurant is on the Old Jacksons Corner site, so it will be interesting to see what they have done to the place! There are a number of Rosa's all over the UK, but I've not visited one before so let's give it a whirl, apparently it is Thai New Year so it should be quite a lively vibe. I've booked a table for 6 people, come and join me.

Each April when the sun passes into the Aries sign, Songkran, or Thai new year - the most anticipated celebration of the Thai calendar - begins and the country erupts into colourful celebrations.
Across Thailand, partygoers spill into the streets clad in swimwear and floral shirts, spraying water indiscriminately (making for a welcome respite from the heat) to signify renewal and bring good fortune into the new year.
Families come together to feast, create memories and share recipes through the generations. Respects are paid to Elders by the younger generations who pour water over their feet and hands in return for blessings and good luck.
From Monday 7th April, we'll be bringing the Songkran Spirit to Rosa's with water blessings, decorations, Songkran party playlists, special surprises and of course some food and drink specials…
Who's ready to celebrate? See you there.
