 Revive and Thrive

The world’s greatest historic motor race meeting, and the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely in a period theme. Revival is an immersive celebration of a less disposable world, where “make do and mend” was a way of life. This year, alongside the high-octane action on the circuit, the Revive and Thrive Village will breathe new life into this ethos sharing

how to revive time-worn treasures.

A full itinerary, timetable and map can be found on our new Goodwood Motorsport App, available on the App Store and Google Play Store. We encourage you to download the Goodwood Motorsport App ahead of your visit.

Top 10 things to do and see

1. World’s greatest historic racing

Witness hundreds of rare and priceless cars, driven by champions past and present, competing for the most coveted trophies in historic motorsport, including the St Mary’s Trophy, the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration and arguably the most competitive race of the event, the Settrington Cup children’s pedal car races

2. Vintage fashion and second-hand style in abundance

The Revival is defined by its period dress code: tweeds and trilbies for men, furs and frocks for the ladies, and by its refusal to allow modern cars within the circuit on race days. The lengths our Revival community go to perfect their outfits are incredible and the stories behind the outfits are special and timeless. For those who need a little guidance, we’ve put together online guides to help you source second-hand pieces and period costumes. Watch out for the style police and ‘Best Dressed Competition’ judges as they’ll be on the lookout for authentic outfits across the weekend too.

3. Tweaked layout and new celebrations

2021 brought a number of exciting changes to the Goodwood Revival, including a variety of new immersive areas to explore throughout the three days.

This year, we continue to tweak the layout, making it easier for guests to venture round the historic Motor Circuit and explore some new areas this summer.

4. A new Revive & Thrive Village

At Revival we revisit a time when people would ‘make do and mend’ cherished belongings for a lifetime of use, reconnecting with the best of the past as an antidote to today’s throwaway culture.

In 2025, the Revive and Thrive Village will embrace that strikingly relevant mantra with workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and talks that celebrate the joys of vintage and share ways to reuse, repair and repurpose pre-loved belongings.

5. Renowned riders and drivers

The Revival always attracts the finest in historic motor racing talent - and a host of famous faces from the motorsport world and beyond, such as Jenson Button who will be racing once again at the Revival. Stay tuned for further updates as we confirm which other celebrity drivers are joining us in 2025.

6. The perfect setting for celebrating

If you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want to gift yourself the day you deserve, dining and entertaining experiences at the Goodwood Revival are a sure-fire way to make your time at the event extra special.

7. Plenty of Instagrammable moments

From the moment you enter the event, you’ll be transported back in time. From getting your hair styled at one of our Betty’s Salons, to Instagram-worthy backdrops, your friends will definitely suffer FOMO.

8. Freddie March Spirit of Aviation

A magnificent concours d'elegance for pre-1966 aircraft which brings together some of the most elegant and rarely-seen machines from the history of aviation.

9. Revival High Street

The Revival High Street is a chance for you to walk down memory lane – literally. Working alongside several major modern brands, we create an homage to the classic High Street, a place where you can buy gifts and memorabilia over the weekend.

10. All the fun of the fair

Cross the bridge taking you - literally – Over the Road and you open the door to a whole world of jollity, including the Revival Cinema presented by Sky Cinema, Butlin’s Rock N Roll Ballroom, Fairground, Bonhams Auction and plenty of shopping stalls.

Host & Everything Else

Although not compulsory, the vast majority of Revival visitors dress in period style with many going to great lengths to achieve that authentic look. The resulting step-back-in-time spectacle plays a key role in making the Revival such a unique event.

While you’re not required to dress up (unless you qualify for central Paddock access, in which case a jacket and tie is necessary for gentlemen, and a dress or suit for the ladies), you’ll feel much more involved if you do. And whether you go for the slick urban look, gentrified country style or chocs-away military aesthetic, it’s not difficult or costly to dress appropriately.

Food and Drink

You can bring your own picnic into the Revival and a reasonable amount of alcohol is permitted. Alcohol is not allowed in any of the Enclosures or Paddocks.

As well as our very own Farmer, Butcher, Chef Restaurant at the Goodwood Hotel, we have many other restaurants which can be pre-booked in advance including our on-site restaurant, Richmond Lawn. If you prefer to escape the Revival festivities and prefer a more relaxed environment, then our Goodwood Hotel options might be the perfect choice.

There are catering stands throughout the Goodwood Revival, with everything from sandwiches, burgers and pasties to street food and delicate baked goods available.

As we aim to provide the best possible experience for all our Revival guests, we are proud to deliver a fully cashless service.

From 2019, no cash will be accepted for any purchase made within our indoor catering enclosures, GRRC enclosures and all food concessions will now accept card payments.

The result will mean shorter queuing times, more payment options available, including Apple Pay and Google Pay and increased security.

All payments can be made using the following methods:

  • All major contactless debit and credit cards, with chip and pin applying for purchases over £30
  • Mobile and wearable payment, including Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Goodwood gift card – Goodwood gift cards will be accepted at the Goodwood Hotel restaurants only
