Pub Social at The Wheatsheaf NQ
Overview
We are heading back to The Wheatsheaf after our fun time there last visit! Situated at 30 Oak Street in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. Known by locals as a proper boozer, this welcoming venue serves as an affordable oasis offering a sharp contrast to the surrounding gentrified bars.
On a Saturday night they feature an 'old school' type DJ so don't forget your dancing shoes!
The pub boasts an inclusive and friendly atmosphere that is particularly welcoming to over-25s. On weekends, the venue comes alive with vibrant entertainment ranging from karaoke parties to dedicated Northern Soul, Motown, and reggae nights. The exterior of the building is also a local landmark, featuring a prominent commemorative mural dedicated to the late Smiths bassist Andy Rourke.
Please Note: The venue won't hold tables for us, so we plan to get in early and accumulate tables/chairs as we go along.
