Overview
Set within the elegant surroundings of Harvey Nichols at The Mailbox Birmingham, Bazar presents a groundbreaking approach to Persian and Lebanese cuisine. This first-of-its-kind concept brings together centuries of culinary artistry with contemporary food fashion, creating an experience that’s as visually stunning as it is delicious.
This evening Julian Smith, who is known for his signature soprano saxophone sound, will set the tone for an unforgettable evening alongside our exquisite Persian and Lebanese cuisine.
Julian is a long term favourite with Spice favourite and has played to our members many times in the past. Following Julian Smith's tremendous success in the final of 2009 series of Britain’s Got Talent, he has been in demand all around the world. We were fortunate that we had a relationship with Julian many years prior to this when he used to teach Spice members to play the Sax! Thanks to our relationship with Julian we have managed to negotiate a small discount for Spice members on the public price.
We can't wait to see and hear Julian again and enjoy a perfect ambience at this new restaurant in the Mailbox.

Our two course set menu (starter and main) can be viewed below and we also have the option to choose three courses and enjoy a dessert too.
We can expect a laidback music set from Julian whilst we're dining which will blend timeless classics with tracks from his brand-new album Being With You.
Julian's 2nd set will be a little more up-tempo with Latin inspired music to help build the atmosphere into the later part of the evening.
After our dinner and two sets from Julian, the night will continue for those night owls within us with a fantastic DJ set at the bar - well it is Friday after all!

Approximate timings for our event
6.30pm - Arrive early to enjoy a drink with friends in the bar
7pm - Sit down for Dinner
8pm - Music and entertainment from Julian Smith
10pm - onwards, DJ in the bar.
For this special Live Music event, we will be dining from a Persian and Lebanese Set Menu. If you've booked the two course option we will choose from the starters and main courses below. The three course option also includes a choice of dessert.

Classic Hummus v - Mashed chickpeas with sesame paste, lemon juice and olive oil
Beetroot Hummus v - Mashed chickpeas and beetroot with sesame paste, lemon juice and olive oil
Smoked Baba Ganoush v - Eggplant dip with tahini
Mains
Ottoman Chicken Shawa gf - Tender chicken with tomato and pickles, served with sweet barberry rice
Levant Lamb Shawa gf - Spiced lamb with pickles, served with sweet barberry rice
Moussaka Batinjan v - Seasoned baked eggplant casserole in a rich tomato sauce mixed with capsicum served with rice
Desserts (Three course option)
Dubai Chocolate Kunafa - Pistachio cream, chocolate
Persian Love Cake - Rose, cardomom, pistachio
BAZAR is located inside Harvey Nichols in the Mailbox on Level 2.
The Mailbox has its own car park, which is super convenient but taxi's or public transport may be preferred due to the alcohol included in this experience.
By Train: The Mailbox is a 5-minute walk from Birmingham New Street station.
By Bus: The nearest bus terminals are located on Navigation Street, Hill Street, Suffolk Street Queensway, Broad Street, Stephenson Street and Corporation Street.
