Narrow Boat Day Trip on Grand Union Canal- Tring, Herts
Overview
Join us for a self piloted narrow boat cruise along the Grand Union canal, with a stop at a canal side pub for refreshments & lunch. Try your hand at steering the boat, or opening locks, or just enjoy the lovely scenery of the Chilterns as we cruise on the canal.
Includes
- A return day trip on a Narrow boat, north bound on the Grand Union Canal, from Tring Cow Roast Marina, with a stop for lunch at The Grand Junction Arms pub, (lunch at own expense).
- We will offer tea / coffee and some light snacks on board during the cruise.

Location & Itinerary
Meet at the Cow Roast Marina at 11am
We will be given a briefing before we embark on our canal cruise aboard the 'Albert'
We will cruise northwards along the canal to our lunch stop / and maybe beyond if we are keen and fancy trying our hand at some locks!
We will stop at the Grand Junction Arms pub for lunch
We will return to the Cow Roast Marina latest 6:30pm, but likely a little earlier.
By Car:
Cow roast Marina Wharf Ln,
Cow Roast, Tring HP23 5RE.
Parking:
Free parking is available in the Marina - drive through the gates and park on the left. If full free parking is also available on the lane outside the gates.
By Train:
Closest station - Tring station- Only 34 mins from Euston, then taxi to Cow Roast Marina or maybe if you put a note on our forum one of your fellow Spicers might be able to pick you up
