Overview
You did it !!!!
Congratulations and well done.
Join us on the last leg of the capital ring walk section 15.
The Capital Ring is an urban walk in a smaller and central loop around London than the London loop , staying within 10 miles of Big Ben. Opened in 2005, it crosses the Thames at Richmond in the West and Woolwich in the East, and takes in many of the city's open spaces including Crystal Palace Park, Syon Park, Highgate Woods, Finsbury Park and Hackney Marshes.
Divided into 15 easy-to-walk sections, it covers 78 miles (126km) of open space, nature reserves, Sites of Specific Scientific Interest and more.
This is the final leg - please contact Alan directly if you need to catch up on any previous sections.
We will meet at Royal Albert DLR Station to be away for 11am. We will walk to Woolwich, crossing the Thames via the Woolwich Foot Tunnel. Lunch will be at The Guard House at Woolwich Arsenal at about 1pm. Approx 5 miles.
Payable at your own expense.
The Guardhouse requires a deposit of £10 per person for group bookings. This will be deducted from your food and drink bill on the day. Due to limited staffing levels on Mondays, they also require a pre-order. We will contact you nearer the time for your lunch choice(s), once the venue has confirmed their September menu".
