Meet & Eat Taster Menu @Where the Light Gets In
Overview
Where the Light Gets In (WTLGI) has been on our radar for quite sometime and we have finally secured a table.
Where The Light Gets In is a Michelin Green Star restaurant nestled in Stockport Old Town. Offering a tasting menu built around locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant celebrates contemporary British cuisine with creativity and care. Guests dine in an airy loft space with an open kitchen that brings them closer to the cooking process. The curated wine list focuses on European natural wines.
Housed on the first floor of a former coffee warehouse in Stockport Old Town, just outside Manchester, Where The Light Gets In is a special and unique experience.
The intimate, open plan space only has 30 seats, with the kitchen team as much part of the experience as anyone else. As many ingredients as possible come from their farm and, as such, they serve a set tasting menu only. Nature, sustainability and organic nourishment are key, with a light and hyper seasonal Nordic (or perhaps Northern?) slant.
You can take a look at their April sample menu here.
