Medieval Activity Day with the Knights of Middle England
Overview
This event is in the process of being cancelled. If you are interested in booking, please add yourself to the waiting list so that we can let you know if a new date is arranged in the future.
This morning we have a very unique Spice Exclusive event where we can go back in time and learn medieval skills with the Knights of Middle England. We will be provided with light armour to make sure we look the part, and by the end of the day we will be able to turn our hand to Jousting, Sword Fighting and Longbow Archery!
Never ridden before? No problem – as today we will be learning these skills upon their life-sized rolling wooden horses, called ‘Woody’ and ‘Splinters!’
We will learn the basics of Jousting within the arena and then take up a bow and arrow as we aim to strike Gold with our Medieval English Longbow! Finally we will be trained in Sword Fighting, learning a choreographed broadsword fight routine.
Includes
- Light armour to wear
- Activities on wooden horses
- Full tuition from the Knights of Middle England
- Spice volunteer Coordinator
Extras
- Option to add on lunch at the Saxon Mill afterwards
Location & Itinerary
The Knights of Middle England and KOME Entertainment are headed by Karl Ude-Martinez; actor, producer, director & TV presenter who has vast TV, Film and theatre experience.
Some of you may remember Karl from previous equestrian events and he was even one of judges at the Jam House for Has Spice Got Talent!
The Knights of Middle England are a family business, based at the family Equestrian Centre alongside the well established and internationally renowned Warwick International School of Riding.
Warwick School of Riding is virtually next door to a lovely old country pub called the Saxon Mill, which Spice have dined at in the past. We plan to arrange a lunch their after our event should anyone like to continue the day.
Further details of the lunch will be added here soon.
