Lazy Saturday with Boat Trip from Little Venice and Camden
Overview
We will meet/gather at the Waterside Cafe where you will have a chance to purchase some refreshments before climbing aboard. as there is a lovely cafe on a barge just next to where you board the waterbus.
Little Venice is a lovely place to have a wander around if you wanted to get there earlier too.
The London Waterbus will then take us on a journey along Regents Canal. This canal opened in 1820 acting as a crucial link in the London Waterways for industrial transport. It is now like a leisurely corridor through London, navigated by leisure boats and lined with houseboats. You will pass Regent’s Park, London Zoo and the Maida Hill tunnel. Key things to look out for are the Painted Wolves: African wild hunting dogs, whose enclosure is on the canal side, as well as the magnificent structure of the Snowden Aviary on the opposite bank. From modern day urban graffiti, unique architecture, industrial history, to landscaped gardens and wildlife, the route delivers on many counts. We will then dock at Camden Lock.
Here you will have time to peruse the markets and take in all the vibrant sights and sounds that Camden has to offer. We have made a lunch reservation at Taste of Siam. Here you will enjoy a a one course lunch (included in the package). Check out there menu HERE
