Heritage Diesel Train Driving Experience – Drive the Spice Heritage Train

There is nothing quite like the sight and sound of a diesel locomotive in full cry!
Choose your locomotive and experience the power and surge of adrenaline as you take the controls on our full day experience, including a tour of Kidderminster Diesel Depot!
We have booked our Spice exclusive experience on Friday 5th June and is limited to 8 people (4 driving the Western and 4 driving the class 50), both hauling a heavy train of carriages.
Running over the whole length of the line, you will power through Bewdley Tunnel, glide across Victoria Bridge and storm up Eardington Bank.
You have the choice of driving a class 50 or a western. Please select the correct place even booking.
Bring a guest: you can bring up to 2 guests on the Spice train free (just pay for their afternoon tea at £20 each).
We have negotiated a Spice exclusive train, at a lower cost than the public price and included an afternoon tea for lunch (this is extra with the public day)

09:45 return trip to Bridgnorth with the class 50
09:45 depart Kidderminster
11:00 arrive at Bridgnorth
12:00 depart Bridgnorth
13:15 arrive at Kidderminster
Tour of the award-winning Kidderminster Diesel Depot and locomotive engine room, including a start-up procedure demonstration
Lunch in the Valley Suite
14:45 return trip to Bridgnorth with the western
14:45 depart Kidderminster
16:00 arrive Bridgnorth
17:00 depart Bridgnorth
18:15 arrive at Kidderminster

Discover beautifully restored original stations along the line, plus fascinating towns and villages.
Includes
- Travel in the cab for 16 miles - driving for 8 miles and acting as second man for 8 miles.
- A further 16 miles is spent in the rear cab of the locomotive. This will be one return trip from Kidderminster to Bridgenorth.
- A further return trip in the Spice train whilst your fellow drivers are taking you along the line.
- Travelling a total journey of 32 miles; going through Bewdley Tunnel, over Victoria Bridge and up Eardington Bank.
- Tour of the award-winning Kidderminster Diesel Depot and locomotive engine room, including a start-up procedure demonstration
- A presentation folder with a certificate and memento of your experience.
- Lunch is an afternoon tea
