Overview

This is the Friday evening meal for the Cambridge Weekend. 

It’s a short walk from the hotel and we can go and explore some Cambridge pubs afterwards.

We are eating off their set menu and you can have 2 or 3 courses. If you go for 2 courses, this can be with a starter or a dessert.

  • Truffle Corn Soup (V) With sautéed chestnut mushrooms, charred corn and brioche croutons

  • Confit Duck Rarebit Comté cheese & confit duck béchamel on toasted brioche, topped with poached egg
  • Crispy Whitebait Served with Provençal mayonnaise
  • Now breadcrumbed calamari
  • Boursin Romesco Salad (V) A salad of pickled vegetables on an almond Romesco sauce with crispy panisse, pistachio dukkah and crumbled Boursin cheese

Mains

  • Fish Parmentier Haddock, prawns & salmon in a white wine & leek sauce, topped with potato purée and a Comté crust
  • Now Pan-Fried Sea Bass With homemade béarnaise sauce, lemon & garlic Tenderstem broccoli and triple-cooked chips
  • Poulet au Bacon Marinated chicken breast in garlic, thyme & smoked paprika, with a smoked bacon velouté and salad vierge served with frites (Upgrade to triple-cooked truffle chips +£1.10)
  • Steak Frites 5oz minute steak topped with garlic butter, served with frites and a herb garnish (Upgrade to an 8oz sirloin with triple-cooked chips and Café de Paris butter (+£8.80)
  • Tomato and Harissa Tagine (VE) A slow-cooked fiery harissa stew with giant couscous, chickpeas, tomato and courgette, served with za’atar flatbread

  • Ice Cream & Sorbet (V) Two scoops of vanilla, chocolate or salted caramel ice cream, lemon or raspberry sorbet
  • Ice Cream & Sorbet (VE) Two scoops of vanilla, chocolate or salted caramel ice cream, lemon or raspberry sorbet
  • Chocolate Mousse (V) Velvety dark chocolate mousse
  • Blueberry Financier (V) A baked almond & brown butter cake with blueberries and vanilla ice cream
  • Cheese Plate (V) Three cheeses with a grape chutney and sourdough baguette. Choose from: Comté, Pont-l’Évêque, Roquefort, Délice de Bourgogne, Chèvre Buchette
