Fish & Chip Dining train - Avon Valley Railway
Overview
Take your seat in our first-class dining carriage to enjoy a British classic of hearty fish & chips onboard one of our heritage trains. Combining a family favourite with a delightful trip down our railway line, this dining experience offers a lunch time that you won’t forget in a hurry!
Your meal will be freshly prepared on board our kitchen car and served to you whilst you travel the line. You will also enjoy a delicious desert to finish off your meal and our onboard bar will be open for additional drinks.
The train will be ready to board at 1300 and departs at 1315. After two round trips of the line, the train will return to Bitton at 1520.
These dates sell out really quickly, especially as this date is steam hauled, so please book now so we don't miss out.
The tables are set for 4 so I'm hoping to book two tables so eight people in total. If you'd be willing to act as host for this event, please select the discounted host place.

Opened in 1869 by the Midland Railway as a through-route between Birmingham and the South Coast the line was later linked to the iconic Somerset & Dorset Railway. Closed under the Beeching Axe of the 1960's the Avon Valley Railway was preserved by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. Today, 50 years on, three miles of track has been re-laid, locomotives and carriages restored, and the sound of steam can once again be heard along the Avon Valley.
